I have been helping clients achieve their planning objectives for nearly 25 years. In the 1980's, I was one of the first advisors to join Investacorp, a pioneering firm formed by several saving and loan associations. It was here that I began establishing rewarding professional and client relationships, many of which have evolved into close friendships over the years.
In 2004, after many years with large national broker/dealers, I opened an independent advisory firm with a core objective of working more closely with exchange-traded funds (ETFs). I believe that, when used properly, ETFs hold many advantages over traditional mutual funds, and I enjoy educating clients on how they may be appropriate for their portfolios.
I believe our industry needs more transparency. Clients should understand what fees they are being charged by both the advisor and their investment products. They should understand how their investments work. ETFs, provide the needed transparency in terms of fees and underlying investments, so they work well for my clients.
I hold a degree in data systems and accounting. I am an Accredited Asset Management Specialist℠ (AAMS®), having earned my professional designation from The College for Financial Planning. I grew up on Longboat Key and Anna Maria Island. I currently reside in Bradenton. I have three adult children.
My community involvement includes the following:
Past Chairman of Longboat Key Board of Directors for The Longboat Key Chamber of Commerce, Past President of the Longboat Key Historical Society, founding member of the Longboat Key Rotary Club (no longer active), past volunteer at Turning Points, Bradenton.
